Effective in preventing the increase of bacteria in food! Carbon dioxide (carbon gas) 'CO2'

It can be used for preventing the increase of bacteria and for the acidification of food.

We offer "carbon dioxide (carbonic gas) CO2," which is heavier than air and has a property of easily dissolving in moisture. Due to its tendency to easily dissolve in moisture and oil, it is primarily used in gas packaging applications mixed with nitrogen gas. When sealed with carbon dioxide alone, changes in taste and packaging collapse may occur, so caution is required. It can be used for food packaging, prevention of bacterial growth (antimicrobial effect), and for acidifying food. Please feel free to contact us if you have any requests. 【Applications】 ■ Food packaging ■ Prevention of bacterial growth (antimicrobial effect) ■ Acidification of food *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

[Eco Freeze Introduction Case Study] Refrigeration Industry

Introducing a case study on the introduction of EcoFreeze 744 (high-purity carbon dioxide) as a suitable refrigerant!

We would like to introduce a case study of the implementation of "EcoFreeze" for customers in the refrigeration industry. There were situations such as "the injection nozzles freeze" and "since the refrigerant for the refrigeration units introduced in the cold storage is carbon dioxide, we want to know the specifications and supply forms of the refrigerant gas used." After introducing EcoFreeze 744 (high-purity carbon dioxide), which is suitable as a refrigerant, we achieved results such as "we were able to carry out the installation without worrying about freezing" and "for large machines, we supplied using 30kg containers, and when transporting to rooftops, we adopted flexible 7kg and 5kg aluminum small containers, allowing for efficient filling operations." 【Overview】 ■Challenges - Injection nozzles freeze - Since the refrigerant for the refrigeration units introduced in the cold storage is carbon dioxide, we want to know the specifications and supply forms of the refrigerant gas used. ■Results - With a quality of less than 20 volppm moisture content compared to regular carbon dioxide, the risk of freezing is reduced. - For large machines, we supplied using 30kg containers, and when transporting to rooftops, we adopted flexible 7kg and 5kg aluminum small containers, allowing for efficient filling operations. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Data] Comparison of Local CO2 Application Effects on Tomatoes and Colored Peppers

In the cultivation of tomatoes and colored peppers, localized CO2 application within the crop can effectively improve yields.

Using liquefied carbon dioxide (carbonic gas) and porous tubes installed within the crop area, a method of applying CO2 during the day with target concentrations of approximately 440 ppm in summer and autumn, and 500 ppm in low-temperature periods, can maintain the CO2 concentration inside the facility higher than that of the outside air, which is effective in increasing yields in tomato and paprika cultivation. This document includes specific data showing that when applied to tomatoes, the marketable yield in the CO2 application area increased by 29% compared to the non-application area, and that when applied to colored peppers, a yield increase effect of over 60% was observed in the CO2 application area. 【Contents】 ■ CO2 application methods: filling method and localized application ■ Localized application equipment and target CO2 concentrations ■ Specific data (comparisons between CO2 application and non-application areas during tests in 2016 and 2017, CO2 concentration transitions, marketable yield, and increase in revenue) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

Carbon dioxide

By using carbon dioxide and covering the welding work, we prevent the oxidation reaction during the melting of the metal, thereby protecting the quality of the weld.

Carbon dioxide, also known as "carbon dioxide," is the gas that is cooled and solidified into what is called "dry ice." The color of the cylinder is green. It is used for various purposes, such as shielding gas for welding in metalworking, carbonated beverages, cooling and freezing food transportation, and neutralizing alkaline wastewater in concrete.

[Case Study] Example of improved yield and quality of "tomato" cultivation in Yamanashi Prefecture through the application of carbon dioxide.

Introducing a case where the introduction of the "carbon dioxide local application system" improved the yield and quality of tomato cultivation in Yamanashi Prefecture! Customer feedback is also included.

The carbon dioxide local application system "Breathe" continuously monitors CO2 concentration using a sensor box installed in the greenhouse and efficiently applies the appropriate amount of CO2 locally as needed. By applying only the necessary amount to the required areas, it achieves low costs and promotes photosynthesis. Furthermore, by combining it with air, it is possible to further reduce running costs, and improvements in yield and quality can also be expected. Here is an example of its introduction for tomato cultivation in Yamanashi Prefecture. [Customer Feedback] For long-term tomato harvesting from September to the following July, the so-called "fruit fatigue" during the mid-growth stage was a challenge. We believe that CO2 application is necessary to maintain the momentum of harvesting until the end. The local application device Breathe is less affected by ventilation compared to conventional combustion types, and there is no concern about unnecessary increases in greenhouse temperature. We introduced the local application device Breathe in the third year of our business, and due to the increase in yield, our profits increased by about 1.5 million yen compared to the previous year. While the improvement in cultivation skills of myself and the staff is one factor, I believe it was a good decision to introduce the equipment as the yield has remained stable throughout the season. *For more details, please contact us.

[Case Study] Improvement of yield and quality in strawberry cultivation in Tochigi Prefecture through the application of carbon dioxide.

The carbon dioxide local application system "Breath" continuously monitors CO2 concentration using a sensor box installed in the greenhouse and efficiently applies the appropriate amount of CO2 locally as needed. By applying only the necessary amount to the required areas, it achieves low costs and promotes photosynthesis. Furthermore, by combining it with air, it is also possible to further reduce running costs, which can lead to improvements in yield and quality. Here is an example of its introduction for winter strawberries (Tochigi Prefecture). [Customer Feedback] The installation work was easier than I imagined, and I can do the maintenance of the piping myself if I want to. The functionality is sufficient for carbon dioxide application. The running costs were also lower than I expected. I believe they are probably comparable to combustion systems. Regarding the effects, I think the harvest cycle has become faster, and the weight of each fruit has increased. I will continue to use it. *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[Case Study] Improvement of yield and quality in cucumber cultivation in Gunma Prefecture through the application of carbon dioxide.

We introduce a case where the introduction of the "carbon dioxide local application system" improved the yield and quality of cucumber cultivation in facilities in Gunma Prefecture! Customer feedback is also included.

Furthermore, by combining it with air, it is possible to further reduce running costs, and improvements in yield and quality can also be expected. Here is an example of its introduction for cucumber cultivation in Gunma Prefecture. [Customer Feedback] Previously, we selected sizes and shipped after harvest in-house, but the harvest cycle has accelerated to the point where we can't keep up without sending it to the sorting facility. The consumption of carbon dioxide is about 4 to 6 bottles per month, but I believe the cost-effectiveness is evident. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
